LOUISE MARGARET BASS
May 28, 1938 – November 15, 2024
Louise passed away peacefully at home, with her loving family by her side. We would like to thank the entire Palliative Care Team for their support these past few months. We would also like to give a special thank you to her granddaughter Kirsten, who helped us care for Mom.
Mom was born in Wampum, Manitoba, the youngest of four, and as a teenager moved to Winnipeg. It was there she met Dad (Jim) and they married in 1958. They raised their children in Winnipeg and in 1976 moved to rural Manitoba (Anola). After 20 years they moved to Piney, eventually relocating to Whitemouth to be closer to family.
Mom loved the country and outdoors, and always had beautiful vegetable and flower gardens every year. She also loved her animals and had many beloved pets in her home over the years.
She was the rock of our family and she spent her life caring for others. Her loss is immeasurable but we are grateful to be left with so many loving memories of her.
Louise was predeceased by her husband Jim, her parents, Alfred and Mary; and siblings, Alfred, Ed, and Marge.
She leaves behind her children, Bruce (Susan), Brenda (Ken), Arlene (Mike), Vernon (John), and Alice (Graham); niece and nephews, Debbie (Dan), Bryan and Dwayne (Adelle); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and as per her wishes a private family service will be held next spring.
