LOIS E. HARRIS
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother in Cottonwood, AZ on November 9, 2024. She would have been 89 years old on December 23
Lois was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Frank and Muriel Miller. She was the oldest of three children. She married and had two children, and the family eventually moved to Riverside, CA. While raising the children, she volunteered in the RUSD schools and went on to become employed as a principal's secretary and finished her career in Instructional Media Services processing books and media for the entire district. Her sweet disposition and generosity endeared her to everyone who met her. Lois' English and Scottish heritage remained important throughout her life, and she kept abreast of current events both at home and abroad. Loving to sew, knit, and crotchet, many of her afternoons were spent with a cup of tea and one of her projects. She also used her considerable skills in the kitchen to create a variety of delicious meals, and she made many occasions more special with her delightful cakes.
She was predeceased by her parents and younger brother Jimmy. Her presence and love will be greatly missed by her children, Jason and Catherine (Dennis) and her sister Fran (Mike), as well as her nephews, niece, and cousins and their families. Our memories will be steeped in her sentimental traditions.
So, write a thoughtful handwritten note and have "a nice cup of tea" to honour and remember her.
