After a brief illness, Al passed away at the Victoria Hospital on Monday, November 25, 2024 at the age of 97 years young.
A Celebration of Life will be held for both Al and Alma in the summer of 2025 on their beloved island in Minaki, Ontario.

Al was my father's best friend, but he was friendly towards all, and like a close uncle to me. Al treated me like one of the guys when I was just a child/teen/young adult. We could all learn from Al's kindness, and the world would be a better place with more "Al-types." I know he will be sorely missed.
