It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patrocinio Cubacob Ramos announces her sudden passing on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the Grace General Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Patrocinio (better known as Pat, Tiya Pat or Ama) leaves behind her daughter, Josephine Cervantes (Roger), grandchildren, Joshua (Leslie) and Rebecca (Abram). Her legacy will live on in her nieces, Crizalis (Ariel) and their children Kim (Criza), Pia (Joshua), Aidan; and Rosalie (Alex); nephew, Arnold (Arleen) and their children Arjay (Jinky), Arjem (Karen), Arianne (Patrick) who are here in Winnipeg. As well as her many other nieces, nephews and grandchildren in the US, other parts of Canada and Philippines.
Her memory will be cherished by her surviving brother, Guillermo Ramos (Tessie). She was predeceased by her parents, Beatriz and Ciriaco Ramos and her six siblings, Robert, Gertrudes, Domingo, Fredeswinda, Floring and Sally Ramos.
Born May 7, 1933, Patty arrived in Canada from the Philippines in 1974 and worked at the garment factory as a seamstress. She then worked at St. Regis Hotel where she retired in May 1998 with 17 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with family, she found joy in helping others, staying active, eating healthy and travelling back regularly to Manila.
The Cervantes family would like to thank the caring staff at Grace General Hospital especially Dr. Hu. Our gratitude to Holy Family Nursing Home and the staff who looked after her care.
Lamay services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.
Funeral services will be held on December 7, 2024 at 9:00 a.m., St. Mary’s Cathedral, 353 St Mary Ave. Reception immediately following service at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. Glen Lawn www.arbormemorial.ca 204-982-7550.
