With sadness but gratitude for a life well-lived, the Green family announces the peaceful passing of Leslie Charles Green on November 29, 2024, at the Douglas Campbell Lodge in Portage la Prairie. He was 98.
Les was well-known for his writing and stellar volunteer work, particularly in preserving and promoting the history of Portage.
He was predeceased by his first wife Shirley (Lewis) in 1995; his second wife Gwen (Green/ Burtonshaw) in 2002 and his siblings.
He is lovingly remembered by his children: Laurel Sarginson (Rob), Tim Green and Chris Green (Joyce Slater), grandchildren, Patrick Sarginson (Jordana Greenberg), Claire Sarginson, Leandra Grenier-Green, Charles-Andre Grenier-Green, Kate Green (Amadeus Lackmanec) and Jesse Green, great-grandsons, Ari Sigvaldason and Drew Sarginson, and dear friend Margaret Schnurr.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
