It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Peter on November 29, 2024, in Winnipeg at age 85, with family by his side. Peter led a long and full life.
Born in Winnipeg, MB on February 8, 1939, to the late George and Gladys Henry, Peter is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ruth, children, Carolin, Bruce (Margot), Kurt (Marnie) and Deanna (Jo), granddaughters, Alannah (Rob), Rebecca (Torey) and great-granddaughters, Finnley and Atley, as well as cousins, numerous nieces, a nephew, great -nieces, great-great-nieces and a great-nephew. He was predeceased by son-in-law Jack and granddaughter Kendra.
Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Grace Hospital, 3 South West Wing for their kind care and attention while Peter was in hospital for the final stages of liver disease.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the St. James Legion (1755 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg) on Saturday, December 14 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, considerations can be made to Fort Whyte Alive or to a charity of your choice.
