It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Gilbert Jeannotte - Beloved husband, father, pepere, brother, and friend.
Gilbert, who was born on December 8, 1937 in Laurier MB, left us on December 2, 2024 at the age of 86. He was surrounded by his loving family in his final moments.
He was a man of immense humour and wisdom, who cherished every moment he spent with his loved ones.

I will miss Gilbert (Peanuts). We had some fun coffees and discussions at Saffies. My family (Letains and Jeannottes go way back to the 40's in Laurier. Gilbert and my brother Ernest both trained in Laurier and worked as CN operators in the 50s. I reconnected with Gilbert and Julie when I moved to Traverse Bay in 2014. Tough time for you Julie. I remember Gil well from the days when he was an engine driver for the GWWD railway. Gil was always a fun-loving, kind and a gentleman.
