Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAROL LYNN REZNIK
It is with deep sadness we announce that our dear Mom and Babi, Carol, passed peacefully with her son by her side.
She was born in Winnipeg to parents Mona and Bill Langlois. She is survived by her favourite (and only) son, George; daughter-in-law, Auriana; and grandchildren, Gabrielle, Julius and Oliver, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Carol was predeceased by her parents Bill and Mona Langlois, as well as brother Gary, her husband, George, and daughter, Lisa Ann.
Carol's early life was spent in the community of St. James, Winnipeg, where her father owned the local hardware store. Carol had an adventurous spirit who enjoyed canoeing, hiking, skiing and other outdoor activities early in her life. She met and married the love of her life, George, who shared their mutual passion for Jazz and Classical music as well as the performing arts.
Carol worked with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet for over 25 years as the Director of Corporate Development, where she invested her time generously to support the ballet. Carol traveled to many countries on tour with the ballet, while making many life-long close friends. Carol was a long-time parishioner of St. John Brebeuf Catholic Church where she was the School Board Council Chair. Carol was an informed citizen who wanted to be aware of what is going on in the world. She read the Winnipeg Free Press, listened to the CBC and watched the National news daily.
Carol was an avid gardener who loved nature, her dogs and the culinary arts. She had great memories being at her cottage at Lester Beach with her family and precious friends, George and Joan Matheos and their wonderful family.
We will always cherish her bright spirit, heart-felt advice, loving hugs, kisses and warm smile.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Main Street Project.
A funeral mass and Celebration of Life memorial service will happen in the spring of 2025.

I was saddened to hear of Carol's passing. A wonderful and delightful lady. I was fortunate being able to get together with Carol for lunches and drives through Assiniboine Park. Always an enjoyable adventure. On behalf of the Clarke family, condolences and prayers for George and family. Mark Clarke - Posted by: Mark Clarke (Friend) on: Dec 18, 2024

I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Reznik’s passing. I always enjoyed speaking with her at St. John Brebeuf on Sundays; always with a smile on her face especially when asked about George. Kind words for all, never once complaining about her declining health. Rest in peace Mrs. Reznik. Madeleine Frost - Posted by: Madeleine Frost (Fellow St. John Brebeuf parishioner ) on: Dec 15, 2024

Our deepest condolences to you your and your family George. We have known Carol since we moved to the neighborhood 17 years ago. There were many evening chats with your Mom while she was on her daily evening walk. Sometimes she didn't get to walk far as the chats lasted longer than anticipated and the pets needed to visit each other too. She was very worldly on so many topics, would give gardening ideas and never said no to some extra cucumbers or tomatoes I had, especially when the squirrels would steal hers. She will be missed. - Posted by: Chrissy & Greg (and Gus the cat) (Neighbour) on: Dec 14, 2024

George, my sincere condolences to you and your family. It's been a long time since you and I first met in University and then worked our way through the CA program. I think I first met your Mom in the summer of 1991 when I was assigned to the RWB audit. I looked forward to seeing her during the audit every year after that; she was passionate about the RWB, teaching me something about the arts in the process, and catching me up on what you were up to. May your fond memories of her give you comfort at this difficult time. Sincerely, James - Posted by: James Jensen (Friend) on: Dec 14, 2024
