It is with deep sadness that the family of Alfred Richard “Jim” Hansford announce his passing on January 6, 2025, at the age of 81.
Jim will be greatly missed by his children, Valerie, Blair (Esther and Miranda), Cindy; honorary daughter Nicole; his ex-wife Trudy; sisters, Iris and Olive; and his neighbours, family and friends.
A Celebration of Life is pending.

Condolences to the Hansford family over the recent passing of Jim Hansford. Jim and I were recent immigrants to Canada, when in 1967 we met in Winnipeg, and I have fond memories of our shared apartment on the 20th floor of the Regency Towers. I attended Jim and Trudy's wedding in 1967, and still have the wedding party photograph in my records. Shortly after the wedding I was moved to Edmonton, and in 1968 it was our turn for a wedding reception, which Jim and Trudy attended. Although parted by time and distance, I still retain good memories of my time in Winnipeg.
