It is with much sadness that we announce the death of David William Scalizzi on January 1, 2025, from a heart attack suffered three days prior while at home.
He was predeceased by his son Anthony in 2021, his mother Adeline in 1989, his father Gabriel in 2012, his brother Danny in 2021 and his sister Angela in 2024.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 31 years, Diana (Rankine), his twin brother Duane (Cheryl), and his sister Teresa (Craig); as well as nieces, Mandy (Travis), Brittany, Briana, Livia and Carmella and nephew Chris.
Dave was a fun, goofy and loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He did whatever he could to make the life of his son a happy and fulfilling one and he succeeded in that goal. He also provided much love, support and understanding to his wife through the many difficulties and sorrows they faced together.
He was a family man through and through and could always be depended upon to help whenever they called, and he did so without complaint.
He has left a hole in the hearts of those who loved him which can never be filled or replaced.
We take tremendous comfort in the belief that he has been reunited with his son, Anthony, whom he was so very proud of and admired greatly for the courage and resilience he showed throughout his short life.
Dave is now free of the burdens and responsibilities placed upon him and the many heartaches and losses he has endured throughout his life.
Rest in peace and love.
We will see you soon.

I'm still lost for words. Rest easy, Dave. We had a lot of great times over the years. Earlier on when we would wake up really early and go fishing, to later on when we went to the NDC shows. My heart is so broken losing my brother Dave. Growing up with my brother we had so many fun memories and those fun times continued through our adult years. He had a great sense of humor and could always make people laugh. Dave was always such a proud man and took pride in everything he did and everything he had. He was very much a family man and loved his wife and son with all his heart. I remember the phone calls we shared when he would drive home from work and we would talk about absolutely everything and I will miss those special conversations. I want to thank Dave for all the memories, all the laughs, all the talks and all the love we shared through the years. He is now reunited with our parents, his son and siblings, but he will be missed by those he left behind. "You went away so suddenly We did not say goodbye But brother and sister can never be parted Precious memories never die". Rest in peace Dave I love you forever.
