It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Arlie Ann Whitman (nee Johnson), on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, (just two days short of her 93rd birthday) at the Madison Care Centre in Coquitlam, BC. She had only been there for a short time but we would like to thank the staff for their kindness and compassion during her stay.
Arlie had been struggling with the effects of dementia that began just before her husband of 64 years (Jim) passed in 2017. She is survived by many relatives in Manitoba and by her daughters, Donna Robertson (Jim) and Judy Whitman who have spent the past seven years caring for her in our new home in Port Coquitlam.
Cremation has taken place at Amherst Funeral Services in Coquitlam and, by her request, there has not been a service. Condolences can be sent to 1426 Barberry Drive, Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 1G3.
