GILLES GRAVELINE

February 27, 1949 – January 14, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Gilles Graveline on January 14, 2025.

He will be lovingly remembered by his partner Ginette Leclair, his sons Jason (Theresa), Chad (Florence), his daughter Candace, grandchildren Katie-Ann, Owen, Azalea, and Iverson, step-daughter Corinne (Josh), step-granddaughter Danique Rielle and step-grandson coming in February. Gilles was predeceased by his wife Judy in 2005 and his parents Marcel and Marguerite.

Gilles was owner/operator of Gil’s Painting for 35 years and really enjoyed working for so many clients. After he retired his favourite pastime was spending his time at his trailer and fishing on Lake of the Woods.

In accordance with Gilles wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Gilles to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.

You’ll always be in our hearts.

  • The best thing about growing up was visiting with Gilles and Paul. My brother Richard and I had nothing but found memories sharing the heart felt family get togethers either in Letellier, Otterburne and Winnipeg. It was always a large fun filled loud and happy time. My wife Yvette and I would like to express our sincere condolences to Jason ,Chad and Candice. Although we have not had the pleasure of meeting Jeannette, I know Gilles was very happy with having you as part of his life. If possible, please let me know when arrangements are made so we could possibly attend. Sincerely Brian and Yvette McVicar. - Posted by: Brian McVicar (cousin) on: Feb 02, 2025

  • Sorry to hear about Gil. Our family was very fond of him. Gil took pride in painting and was always there to help us. My parents loved chatting with him and sharing stories. We all enjoyed spending some time at the lake with him. Gil will be remembered and missed by many. - Posted by: Neela Kati (Friend) on: Feb 02, 2025

  • So sorry for your loss… Gilles was the first (accountant) I worked with at the National Bank on Taché, back in 1976! He always said, “A really good accountant doesn’t have to do anything”, (in French)… he taught us young ladies, (many of us just out of high school) how to do our jobs. What I learned at the bank, transferred to all my jobs until retirement in 2017… one of the good guys he was… RIP - Posted by: Lucie Gosselin (Rodrigue) (Previous co-worker) on: Feb 01, 2025

  • Condolences to the family - Uncle Allan Gravelling's family. - Posted by: Lisa Gravelines (cousin) on: Feb 01, 2025
