Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL RODERICK MCKINSTRY
It is with profound and overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Michael McKinstry, who left us too soon on January 25, 2025, at the age of 34.
He was the oldest of four siblings, a role he was particularly proud of as he prioritized caretaking and connection with his family. He was incredibly intelligent, kind-spirited, caring and compassionate. He had an incredible love for cats, particularly his cat fur babies, Juniper Wallace, Smokey and Max. He will be missed for his view of the world, passion for politics and human rights, and enthusiastic love for music, the arts and technology. He avidly admired cool cars, watches, pens, and distinguished clothing. He had a passion for and an incredible understanding of technology and was always there to patiently help. He will hold a unique and special place in the hearts of everyone who knew him; we wish everyone had a chance to know him.
Michael is survived by his parents, Andrew and Sheri, and siblings: Nathan (partner Meagan), Jacob, and Natasha (partner/husband Kai).
A Celebration of Life for Michael is planned for February 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the Augustine United Church, 444 River Avenue in Winnipeg.

Michael was the reason we first met. Our boys played lacrosse together and we sat there on the edge of our seats. Praying they would not get cross-checked from behind. Michaelโs time here was very short, but he touched a lot of hearts along the way. Rest in peace Michael. ๐๐๐ - Posted by: Diane Mymko (Friend/sister) on: Feb 11, 2025
