It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, beautiful Mary at the age of 81.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Bryan; her daughters, Brenda (Walter) and grandson, Julian, Elaine and granddaughter Jeniece, Jeannette (Dan) and granddaughter Justine; stepson, Curtis (Christina) and grandchildren, Brianna and Wesley; sisters, Olga (Tony), Judy (Wayne), Walterina; brother, Harry, many nieces, nephews, family, friends, and all the people Mary's gentle soul has touched in her lifetime. She is loved by many.
Mary was predeceased by her Dad and Mom, Angus and Bertha Starr; her stepfather, Frank; her sisters, Frieda, Lindeen, Verna, Doreen and Charlene; her brothers, Charles and Edward; many family and friends that she loved and missed dearly. It's certain they were all there for her when she arrived in heaven. Of course, we don't doubt Leona was one of those angels waiting to welcome her, and they are dancing in heaven to one of their favorite country songs.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at the HSC emergency and SICU for their kindness, compassion and exceptional care. A special thank you to all those who took care of Mary over the years, as she spoke highly of her physicians and care team.
Celebration of Life will be Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Reception to follow. Livestream available through https://youtube.com/live/VIwxuYWMtX8?feature=share
Interment will be Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Cemetery, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Canada, helping grant life changing wishes for children, in honor of Mary's memory.

My deepest condolences to Bryan and family. Mary was an amazing beautiful soul. May you take comfort knowing she touched many lives. I so enjoyed our many lengthy talks. Mary and I met when we were 16 and 18. We had so any laughs. I'm so happy she found a good husband. I'm so saddened to hear of her passing. Wish we would have kept in touch.
