JOHN EPP
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of John on February 18th at the Maples Personal Care Home.
John and Marina started their married life together in Morden where they had two daughters, Patricia and Lorelei. They later moved to Winnipeg where they lived, worked and raised their family.
John loved his career as a long-haul driver with Reimer Express Lines. This is also where he met his second wife Jackie.
He was predeceased by the love of his life, Marina; wife Jackie and grandson Tyrone (with whom he had an unbreakable bond).
John’s favourite pastimes were reading, watching curling, and travelling. When weather permitted he could be found sitting in the front of his house doing what he loved most, smoking and having a rum and coke.
John is lovingly remembered by daughters, Patricia and Lorelei; grandchildren, Colton, Tessa (Todd) and Katie. He is also remembered by his siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as Jackie’s children and grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Maples Personal Care Home (Holly ward) for their care and dedication to dad.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 18th at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.

My condolences Pat, and Lorelei, on the passing of your Dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. I spent a lot of time at your home in Southdale while my kids were very young, and your mom and dad were always kind and welcoming. I was just thinking of John, when I drove into Southdale this week. - Posted by: Janice Cournoyer (Friend) on: Mar 09, 2025

My thoughts and condolences Pat, to you and your whole family, on the passing of your Dad. For as long as I can recall (50 yrs of reflections) your Dad was full of “vim and vigor”, and always had a way of speaking his mind! During my infrequent connections with him he always put on his best hat & was jovial and kind, even during some of those HSC appt trips that were uncomfortable for him. I will keep those happier memories, while knowing that you and he both went through a lot in trying to keep him as happy and comfortable as possible, for many years. Love you my friend, Lori. - Posted by: Lori Milani (Friend) on: Mar 08, 2025
