Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH PATRICIA SCARLETT JESSIMAN
Peacefully at the age of 96. Patty was one of six children of loving parents Peter C and Elizabeth S Jessiman. She was always very close with her five siblings. Patty was predeceased by sister Maud (Stewart) Searle, and brothers Ian (Rae) Jessiman and William Jessiman. She is survived by sister Grace (William) Treidler and brother Duncan (Judy) Jessiman.
Patty had great fondness for and always enjoyed watching her many nieces and nephews grow up. This includes Stewart and David Searle, Elizabeth, Craig, and Robert Treidler, Meagan and Stacey Jessiman, and Nancy, Peter, and Heather Jessiman. Patty had very special relationships with Nancy and Stacey, and they were always a big part of each other’s lives.
Patty was very close with her brother William, and together they cared for their parents very attentively until their passing. In later years, both Patty and William were extremely appreciative of the care and assistance provided them by brother Duncan, nephew Peter, and his wife Dana. The family would like to give very special thanks to Melanie Lokstet and Ethel Lopez, both of whom provided much love and support for Patty in her final years. We would also like to thank the staff at Brightwater Linden Pointe for the kind and compassionate care provided.
Patty grew up on Spruce Street in Winnipeg’s west end before moving to Wellington Crescent where she would stay for many years. She attended Isaac Brock and Gordon Bell schools and was a very avid student. She enjoyed travel to London, England with her sisters and spent many winters in Palm Springs with her brother William.
Patty was an incredibly kind and thoughtful person who only spoke highly of others. She was very proud of her Scottish heritage and was an equally proud Canadian. Her calm and friendly demeanor was always appreciated by friends and family, and she will be missed.
The family will be having a private memorial in remembrance of Patty. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to the DASCH Foundation (dasch.mb.ca) or to a charity of their choice.
