It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Winter on March 29, 2025, at the age of 91.
He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by his loving wife of almost 61 years, Bernice (nee Zotzman), his three children, Tim (Monika), Melissa (Don), Stewart and his grandchildren, Raven, Shaye, Kristen (Cole), Taai, Jaedra (predeceased) and Kalin.
John was a passionate lifelong farmer who incorporated progressive practices for over 60 years in the Meadows area. He was known for his hard work, entrepreneurial spirit, integrity, strong family values and authentic connections with friends.
Beyond his agricultural success, John enjoyed all sports but particularly liked playing and watching hockey, baseball, curling and golf.
He will be missed, but his memory will live on in the many lives he touched.

Bernice and family, our sincere condolences to you and all the family. Did not hear about John’s passing until recently as we were away at the time. We considered John a true friend and an exceptional businessman. The kind you never even discussed prices with because he was as honest and humble as could be and you always knew he was fair, as was the entire family. He will certainly be missed in any and all of his circle of friends!! - Posted by: Bernie and Sharon van Kemenade (Friends) on: Jul 14, 2025
