It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts the family announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the age of 88.
Mom will be deeply missed by her children: Don, Bill (Lisa) and Jackie (Blair). She was a devoted and beloved grandmother to Stephanie (Jeff), Amanda (Kevin), Michael, Zachery, Ryan and great-grandmother to Dylan, Adriana, Louisa and Bennett. She also leaves behind her cherished brother Bill (Linda) and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Mom was a devoted mother and grandmother enjoying every moment she had with her family. She had a heart full of love and kindness and would go to any extent to help anyone.
Mom was predeceased by the love of her life, Donald (Marv) Fraser and her parents, Bernard and Irene Moody. Mom and Dad met when they were both working at Eaton’s downtown and were married August 9, 1958, and spent 50 wonderful years together until his passing in 2008.
Mom was able to stay at home with her young children for many years which we are so grateful for. Mom then went on to work at Hudson’s Bay Northern Stores until her retirement. After this, Mom continued to work as secretary of Anavets Provincial Command Manitoba and NW Ontario for many years until her final retirement. Mom was a member of ANAF Unit#283 for 42 years before receiving her Life Membership Award on July 10, 2016. Mom received various awards and medals during this time, as well made many friendships along the way.
The sun has now set on Mom’s life. She was a very special person to all that knew her and she will remain in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 3 at 1:00 p.m. at: ANAF Unit #283, 3584 Portage Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to charity of choice.

Elsie Fraser was a true and long time neighborhood friend to the Baldwin family living across the street for many years. Always welcoming and community minded. Especially for all the years of service she gave to ANAF unit #283. A pleasure to have known her and Marv and their children as family friends. Fond memories to recall for those years growing up in the neighborhood. Rest in Peace Elsie. - Posted by: Kristjan Baldwin (Neighbor and friend) on: Jun 28, 2025
