Among his many other achievements, Bill was a long time liberal supporter who brought judgement and leadership to politics. He was especially committed to bringing attention to the issues and concerns of rural Manitoba. I think fondly of the many times he was a voice of reason and common sense. He was a truly a good citizen - Posted by: Lloyd Axworthy (Friend) on: Jun 29, 2025

Bill was a passionate Manitoban who contributed enormously to the Liberal Party over decades, particularly in the policy sphere. He was never shy to go to the microphone at Liberal conventions with strong views about the importance of rural issues and communities. My deepest sympathies to Bill's family and friends. He will be missed. - Posted by: Terry G Duguid (Friend and Liberal colleague) on: Jun 28, 2025

His mom and my dad were cousins and we enjoyed visits in our younger days. I always enjoyed Bill's stories on work and politics as I grew older though our visits were too rare. He demonstrated how to be a community person. - Posted by: Lyall Campbell (cousin ,second or so) on: Jun 28, 2025
