BONNIE LYNN PATENAUDE


Bonnie Lynne Patenaude, born March 27, 1948, passed away peacefully at her house on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Bonnie was predeceased by her father Reginald Rogers, mother Dorothy Rogers and son Kent Michael Patenaude.

Bonnie is survived by her three kids, Arianne Chaisson and husband JP, Amanda Patenaude, Amber Nott and husband Trevor; as well as her six grandchildren, Carter Nott, Jack Nott, Jacob Chaisson, Ava Chaisson, Ella Nott and Ireland Patenaude; her sister-in-law Sandra Holdnick and brother-in-law Dennis; her brother Glen Rogers and wife Debbie and six nephews and nieces, Shawn Holdnick, Jason Holdnick, Krista Bowden, Wesley Holdnick, Danny Rogers, and Ashley Holdnick.

Bonnie and Greg met and soon married on December 21, 1968, in the heart of Transcona on Kanata Street.

As a young woman Bonnie graduated from University of Manitoba with an Education degree and taught grade school until she had children of her own and assisted as a substitute teacher for a short time. She later utilized that degree for her extensive service life. In addition to volunteering at the kids’ schools, participated actively in the leadership of Chown Guild, Children’s Hospital, the Manitoba Film Board, and helped fund raise for countless charities including Heart & Stroke, Kidney and many other service projects. She was recognized from the Mayor of Winnipeg for her volunteer efforts with The Children’s Hospital.

Bonnie’s life centered around her family and many lifelong friends. She had a love of travel and experiencing other cultures and would often travel with the Girl Guides and her friends.

Bonnie’s final wishes were for a Celebration of Life at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club, Monday, July 21 at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, Annie A. Bond Legacy at CE501-840 Sherbrooke St., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3A 1S1; info@goodbear.ca
