BERYL DE POURCQ

(nee TOMLINSON)

On July 6, 2025, Beryl passed peacefully with her sons at her bedside at Abbottsford Regional Hospital, B.C.

Beryl, born in St Boniface December 29, 1934, was the second child of three daughters, and three sons of William Tomlinson and Thelma (nee Lowther) Brown. She married Fred De Pourcq April 13, 1956, and became the mother of six sons between 1957 and 1970. Beryl worked at Ashdown Furniture Store in Winnipeg prior to becoming a mom. Fred and Beryl moved to Vancouver in 1972, where she worked at CIBC's Data Processing Center before retiring in 2004. Beryl was a dedicated wife, an amazing mother who always tried to see the positive in times of difficulty.

She is predeceased by her husband Fred (2017), sisters Sally and Gail and brother Bill and nephew Wayne Tomlinson (2024). She is survived by her six sons, Frederic (Freddie), Darcy, Darren, Joel, James, Kirk, brothers Terry and Laurie Tomlinson, six grandsons, four granddaughters, and three great-grandsons, and brother-in-law Desire (spouse Pat) De Pourcq. Beryl is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and by Phyllis Bohunicky, her oldest & dearest friend of 90 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and place TBD.
