MURRAY ALEXANDER GOOD

It is with sadness that Murray Good's family would like to announce his passing on February 22, 2025.

He will be remembered fondly by his wife Gage Good, his son Christopher, his daughter-in-law Tracey, his grandchildren, Abigail and Malcolm as well as his sister Sandra and husband Irv Friesen. There are several nieces and nephews who will miss their uncle for his unique personality.

Murray was the eldest of four children of Howard and Lillian (McFadden) Good. He was predeceased by his brothers, Allan and Richard.

Many knew Murray as their family dentist in West Vancouver, an instructor of dental students at UBC, or through his many community activities such as sailing and Speed Watch. Murray's daily walk between office and home while attired in his dental smock is a canonical West Van image from the 1970s to 1990s.

Murray was born in Winnipeg, MB on December 22, 1938. His heart, however, was with the West Coast, in Vancouver, where Gage and he moved in 1968, and where they enjoyed 57 years of living on the coast.

His family would like to thank all staff at Amica Lions Gate for their wonderful care.

Murray donated his body to UBC and would have encouraged others to do the same.

  • Deepest Sympathy from the “Last” Families back in Argyle, Manitoba. Lots of great memories with time with Murray at Auntie Gertie’s and Uncle Phil’s. Murray’s Mom and Dad close to our Hearts as Uncle Howard and Aunt Lillian shared their life at West Hawk! Family Roots Strong❤️ - Posted by: Donna Last Stewart (cousin) on: Jul 27, 2025

  • Murray and I go way back to grade one at Riverview school in Winnipeg. We were in the same fraternity at University of Manitoba and ended up in Vancouver at about the same time. We never lost track of each other. Time honoured friends. I miss our lunches that we shared over the last few years. Murray was a unique individual and it was always a pleasure to share memories and conversations on any subject that came up. He was very smart and a loyal friend. I miss you “M.A.” - Posted by: Ray Haag (Friend) on: Jul 26, 2025
