AUDREY SUSAN BRENT

1951 - 2025


It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Susan Brent at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon.

Audrey is lovingly remembered by her brother Les (June), nephew Jason Brent, her niece Wendy Matousek (Mark), and her great-nephew Reese Matousek. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mildred Brent and her sister Delores Brent.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Audrey graduated from St. Boniface Diocesan High School and later moved to Saskatoon, where she earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Saskatchewan. She was called to the Bar of Saskatchewan and went on to obtain her Master of Laws from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Audrey began her legal career as a Crown Prosecutor with the Saskatchewan Department of Justice in Regina and later with the Canada Department of Justice in Saskatoon, She became a partner in Halyk, Brent, Dovell and subsequently co-founded Brent and Greenhorn, where she practiced law for many years.

Outside of her professional life, Audrey had many passions. She was an avid collector of coins, books and records and had a deep appreciation for music and theatre, often enjoying concerts and performances with family and friends. She also loved to travel, exploring new places and cultures whenever she had the opportunity.

Audrey was a devoted daughter and sister and a beloved aunt and great-aunt. Her warmth, intelligence and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always.

A funeral will be held at St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg on July 30 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow.



Audrey will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
