CAROLYN RUTH JOHNSON

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, auntie, and friend, Carolyn Ruth Johnson (neé Parkes), 79 years old, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Saviour Jesus, with family by her side at Selkirk Hospital, on Saturday August 2, 2025.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Curtis Berry Johnson, and her four children: Todd (Jennifer); Mark (Carolyn); Brad (Jodi); and Liza (Ben). She will be missed by her nine precious grandchildren: Riley, Theo, Georgia, Dorian, Sadie, Maeve, Brock, Finlay, and William, all of whom made her proud. Carolyn’s faith in Christ was central to her life and she taught her kids and grandkids to keep Christ first in their lives.

After staying at home for 15 years, while raising her children, Carolyn took a course at Red River College in Design. She enjoyed her new career in window coverings with New View Blinds, eventually running her own small business for 20 years, Designer’s Touch.

She was known for her beautiful, mellow alto singing voice, and her incredible ability to hear harmonies. As a founding member of Kilcona Park Alliance Church, she was happy to be active in ministry and believed we could “never out-give the Lord”.

Mom, we will miss you deeply, until we meet again.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service on Friday, August 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Kilcona Park Alliance church, North-East corner of Lagimodiere and McIvor Avenue. Private Interment will take place at Glen Eden.
