Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory(TREVOR) SEAN DUNCANSON
(Trevor) Sean Duncanson passed away unexpectedly from a cardiac event on July 29, 2025, at the age of 56, at his home in Saskatoon, SK.
Born on September 6, 1968, in Saskatoon, SK, to Gail and James (Jim) Duncanson, Sean grew up alongside his sister, Erin Leigh Duncanson. He attended Thornton School and completed his education at Nutana Collegiate. In his younger years, Sean loved hosting gatherings with friends, often bringing them through the side door to keep his mom, Gail, unaware of just how many people were hanging out in the basement. Sean also enjoyed playing baseball, soccer, and floor hockey. When he was 19, he moved to Winnipeg, MB, where he met his future wife, Lesley MacDonald. They married in Winnipeg on May 24, 1994, and welcomed their son, Aaron John Ross Duncanson, on September 24, 2001. Although their marriage ended, they continued to co-parent their son with love and dedication.
Over the years, Sean held various positions in the food industry before finding his passion as a Transit Operator with Saskatoon Transit, a role he took great pride in and held until his passing. Sean was a dedicated worker who brought positivity to every shift, often lifting spirits with his compassion and perfectly timed jokes. Outside of work, he volunteered with the Saskatoon Berries baseball team and enjoyed nature walks, gardening, golfing, and listening to the Rolling Stones.
Sean is remembered as a compassionate and loving individual, a dedicated father, uncle, and son. He was predeceased by his father, James (Jim) Duncanson; and his sister, Erin Leigh Duncanson. He will be mourned by his son, Aaron of Winnipeg; his mother, Gail of Winnipeg; his nephew, Conor Jayson Duncanson of Winnipeg; and many other extended family and friends.
A private family service will be held, with a celebration of life for family and friends to follow in Saskatoon in the latter half of September. Details will be shared with loved ones and friends once confirmed.

I was Sean's Classroom Instructor at Winnipeg Transit. Sean was a great guy, very friendly, I was sad to see him leave Winnipeg Transit. It's nice to hear that he continued as a Transit Operator elsewhere as I could tell he really enjoyed it. Condolences to his friends and family. - Posted by: Brent (Co-worker) on: Aug 26, 2025

We met Sean a few years ago when we moved into the building he was looking after. He was a hard worker and a great guy. He was truly missed when he moved to Saskatoon. When talking with him you could tell he really enjoyed his job with Saskatoon Transit. We are thankful that he was able to stop in and see us this spring when he returned to Winnipeg for Aaron's graduation. He was a proud father for sure. Our condolences to his Mom, Aaron and extended family. You will be truly missed. - Posted by: George & Kathy Edgar (Friend) on: Aug 10, 2025
