CALVIN KIPLING
On August 6, 2025, Calvin began his journey to be reunited with our parents Sarah and David, brothers Simon and George, grandparents William and Mary Black, along with many family members, nieces and nephews who made the journey previously.
He also joins a special friend Ernest Franklin who had resided with Calvin at the Bell Hotel. It was through faith that these two friends would be at the same care home, Southeast Personal Care Home, and their friendship would continue until Ernest’s passing.
Calvin also leaves a daughter RoseLee L., sister Rose (Gordon), special nieces Ashley Stevenson, Samantha Kipling, Clarice Smith, Rosaleen Flett and Corrina Kipling, special grand-niece Alayna Lacquette, nephews Steven Stevenson, AJ Jandrew, George and Sabby Kipling.
Calvin was so blessed to have so many different care providers. A huge heartfelt thank you to the following individuals, Dr. Ball, Jason, Loretta, Abina, Christine, Leah, Yoon, Pompei, Jeanelle, James, Moji, Don, Nigist, Mavis, Fola, Solomon, Rufina, John and Renee.
We also want to express our appreciation to the individuals from back home in Hollow Water who would visit my brother.
Calvin’s wake service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., both events will be at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg.
