Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM ANDREW (ANDY) MORRIS
It is with heavy hearts our family shares the passing of our brother Andy on June 25, 2025.
Andy was born on May 27, 1953, in Winnipeg, the middle child to Jean Labuik and Tom Morris. He was predeceased by his parents, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Andy will forever be cherished by his brother Jim (Janice), sister Wendy, nephews and niece, Justin (Jennifer), Jillian (Jace) Cowan, Jamie (Savannah Sauve) and Darcy. Andy was always overjoyed at seeing the little ones in the family - his great nephews and niece Preston, Owen, Jack, Jacob, Eli, and Ava. A special thank you to Andy's dear friend, Tom Clarke, for his friendship and support of Andy and our family over the years. To his coffee buddies and other friends we know he will be missed. Andy truly had a loyal and close circle of friends.
Andy grew up on Lewis Street where many wonderful memories were made with family, extended family and friends. He attended Fort Rouge Elementary School, Churchill High School, and the University of Winnipeg.
Andy's work had him travelling to several locations in Ontario as a young Train Order Operator. His career as a Rail Traffic Controller started in Winnipeg, ultimately moving to Edmonton, where after many years of service he retired from the CNR.
It was at the University of Winnipeg where Andy began his lifelong passion of being a sports trainer. His passion drove him to work with a variety of teams in various sports, which provided him with many wonderful trips to new and interesting locales and allowed him to work with great athletes and families, having some become lifelong friends.
The family extends thanks to the wonderful Home Care staff who helped Andy remain in his home, St. Boniface 4th Floor Dialysis Unit and all his doctors, nurses and the support staff.
If you wish, donations can be made to Diabetes Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
Family and friends are invited to come celebrate Andy's life and memory at Corydon Community Centre, Crescentwood, 1170 Corydon Avenue on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
