Lynn passed away at Riverview Health Centre on August 13, 2025.
Lynn will be missed by her children Melanie (Derek), Wilben (Nadia), grandchildren Natacha, Cleonie and Jerielle. Lynn was predeceased by her parents George and Nancy, sister Pam Knowles and brother Howard English.
Lynn was born on April 1, 1949, in Winnipeg. During the 1950 flood Lynn, her brother Howard and their mother moved to England due to the flood damage to their home. Their father sold their home and joined the family. After their parents separated, Lynn and her brother chose to return to Canada with their father in 1981. Lynn attended Glenlawn Collegiate.
Lynn began her new job at Metropolitan Life where she met her best friend Joan who ended up becoming her sister-in-law! Lynn soon got married and saw her dream come true when she had her daughter Melanie. In 2003, Lynn became a very proud Nana when Natacha was born. Lynn became a Nana two more times to Cleonie and Jerielle.
Lynn was a caring, compassionate woman who deeply cherished and cared for her family. She was an avid church goer who could quote any scripture from the Bible. Her enduring faith helped her through any difficult challenges in life! Lynn was a positive person who had a wonderful sense of humour! She had an awesome rapport with the caring staff at Riverview Health Centre.
In accordance with her wishes, Lynn was cremated at Chapel Lawn and there will not be a service.
The family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Riverview for the amazing care and support they provided.
