ALEXANDER GEORGE MCLEOD
August 6, 1930 - September 11, 1995
30 years have passed.
We have missed you every one of those days.
The loss of you grows more as the years move on, as does the love for you, that, remains.
We see you in the fading
summer sunsets on the lake.
Thoughts of you dance on the
water's shimmery waves.
We see you in the falling colours of
the September leaves.
Longing for a father's warm embrace.
We hear you in the laughter told in the stories of the past.
Recalling wonderful times of you,
reliving those moments, wishing they could have last.
We get a glimpse of your infectious smile, a similar mischievous twinkle.
Reflecting in your grandchildren's eyes, of them, proud, no doubt you'd be.
Your humble truth, kindness, and generous spirit, now displayed by my brother's every way.
Your creative mind shapes my everyday world of design.
Your heart, like mine, in all I do.
Your legacy lives on in all who knew you.
From the people who speak your name aloud or a quiet passing thought in their mind.
You remain in our hearts still.
Thirty years on we still love and miss you.
Say Hello to Mum
5 years on we deeply miss her too.
