Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHARON GAIL CHMIELNICKI
We sadly announce the passing of Sharon at the age of 69, at the St. Boniface Hospital with family by her side.
Sharon is survived by her son Michael; daughter in law Amanda; and granddaughter Jayde. She is also survived by her sisters, Bev (Bucky) and Brenda; nephews, Jeffrey and Cody; and great nephew and niece, Caden and Brooklyn.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Ed and Hazel.
Sharon was born and raised in Winnipeg and enjoyed her summers in Sandy Hook, and later in Husavik at her parents’ home which later became Michael, Amanda and Jayde’s home where she enjoyed her time outside with Bailey and Stella, loving her coffee and smokes.
Sharon was a strong-willed person, very independent and very determined to live on her own, and do things in her own way right until the end which she did.
We would like to thank all of her doctors and nurses over the years and a special thank you to the team at the ICU of St. Boniface Hospital for their amazing care during her final days.
Also a special thank you from her family to her friends, Norma and Kathy, who over the years has made it possible for her to stay at home.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in Husavik. All friends and family are welcome.

I went to school with Sharon I always thought she was very beautiful and a nice person. I do remember when she worked at Air Canada and was involved in the community gardens, I thought that was a great thing. Sincere condolences to Sharon’s family and friends ❤️ - Posted by: Audrey Robertson (Friend) on: Sep 13, 2025

Condolences to the whole family. I used to work with Sharon at Boeing, back in the day. I remember her to be a strong willed hard working woman. She certainly knew her own mind. - Posted by: Cheryl (Old work mate) on: Sep 13, 2025
