Following her elementary years of schooling the family moved to Brandon, MB. Marjorie attended St. Michael’s Academy during her high school years.

When her husband retired, they both enjoyed many years living at their year-round cabin at Oak Lake Beach, MB.
Marjorie spent many years with her husband and children at Rivers, Manitoba enjoying their summers at the beach, on a seasonal lot. Later they built the family cabin at Oak Lake Beach in 1974. There were many family gatherings and fond memories held at the Oak Lake cabin.

In fact she had several master angler awards. Marjorie was an outdoorsy person and liked a window open all year round. She was a prairie woman at heart from berry picking to gathering wild flowers, golden rod and pussy willows to name a few. Marjorie loved being barefoot and enjoyed beach time with her grandchildren. Ice cream, chocolate, and a good cup of tea were a few of her favorite things. Marjorie was a fabulous cook and was well known for her homemade soups, goofy buns and her chewy chocolaty puff wheat cake. Everyone in the family enjoyed mom’s cooking.
