Born in Winkler, MB, Patricia trained as a nurse but found her true self in the rhythms of home and farm life. She and her husband Jake farmed in Domain, MB, building a life that was grounded and abundant, raising children, tending fields, and cultivating community.
She was deeply present in the lives of her children: Carol (Bill Dynkavitch), Chris (Lori), and Wes (Jean), and her grandchildren: Ezra, Isaiah (Joie), Alex, Michael, Jewels, Theo, Dominic, and Nora. Her prayers have carried and guided them all their lives.
Patricia and Jake were married for more than 60 years; she remained his sweetheart to the end. When she developed Parkinson’s Disease, Jake became her steadfast caregiver, tending to her needs with dignity and love.
Through prayer, conversation, and acts of service, hospitality, and compassion, Patricia lived her faith daily, drawing those around her into a deeper understanding of God’s love for them.
Patricia lived gently, listened deeply, and gave abundantly. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. Her absence is deeply felt, but the imprint of her love and grace will remain with us always.
