Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW CONSTANTINE VLASSIE
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dearest brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He passed in Calgary, Alberta while visiting family.
He is survived by his caring sisters, Tina Vlassie, Diane Vlassie and Cathy Trueman (Paul); nieces, Penelope Glover (Clay), Morgan Trueman (Evan), Andrea Towson (Dan), his nephew, Riley Trueman and grandnephews, James and Tommy Towson; his cousins Andrew Vlassie (Sandra) and Alexis Vlassie (Mark); and his dear friend Patti Lohmier.
He was predeceased by his parents, Constantine and Penelope Vlassie, Uncle Manoli and Marie Vlassie and cousin Nicolette Vlassie.
Andrew was born in the Greek community of Winnipeg, MB; lived in St. James, Tuxedo and Charleswood until moving to Phoenix, AZ in 1981. He attended Tuxedo Park Elementary School, Laidlaw and Tuxedo Shaftesbury where he made the best of friends.
He was a gentle soul with never-ending optimism. He LOVED to cook, lambsicles, chicken marsala, blackened catfish and the infamous roasted red pepper, anchovy and garlic salad. He adored and loved all dogs, his 2015 Challenger and Rock 'n Roll music. He will always be in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.
