Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPER ARNE HAAGENSEN
We are saddened to announce that Per (Peter) passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Oakview Place Personal Care Home, at the age of 91.
Remaining to cherish Per’s memory are his wife of 65 years, Birthe; his son Mark (Rose); his grandchildren, Ashley (Luke), Ryan (Kayleigh), and Kathleen (Ryan). Per was very proud of the kind of people his grandchildren turned into. He was predeceased by his son Glenn, and his brother and sisters, Sven-Erik, Inger, and Grethe.
Family and friends will especially remember his love of horses that began as a child.
After retirement, Peter found enjoyment teaching Dressage. Later in life, he enjoyed reliving the many summer camping trips in the mountains that the family experienced.
A special thanks to Ken and Sandra who shared his love of horses. Ken trucked for a private firm in southern Manitoba and would take Peter on many of his trips throughout the USA and Western Canada. These became very fond memories for Peter.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Oakview Place for the kind way they looked after Per. Unit 1N enjoyed how Peter was concerned that everyone had what they needed to get their jobs done and Unit 3 kept him comfortable during his final days.
In compliance with Per’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favourite charity.
The family is comforted by the Bible’s promise of a resurrection as expressed by Jesus at John 5:28,29.
