Hazel Irene Carriere (nee Nisely) was her released from pain and suffering on October 3, 2025.
Cherishing her memory is her loving husband of 64 years, Aime Carriere, son Gerald, daughter Laurel (Jules) Freis, and grandchildren Dale (Daniela), Cory (Colette), Dylan (Michelle), and Harley, as well as great-grandchildren, Max, Zachary, Caitie, Carter, Charlotte, Alice and Winnie, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents George and Winnie Nisely, brother Ian, and many sisters- and brothers-in-law.
Hazel was born March 25, 1938, in St. Jean, MB, and grew up on the family farm in Greenridge. She met her lifelong love, Aime at a Christmas dance. They wed on August 12, 1961, and after a brief stint in Winnipeg, they moved back to take over the farm and raise Gerald and Laurel.
Hazel continued to be active in her community in many organizations. Hazel was a truly one of a kind, with a smile, and hug to anyone who needed it.
Funeral October 25, 2025, 2:00 p.m., Greenridge United Church, Greenridge, MB.
