Eveline Lagacé est décédée paisiblement le 29 septembre dernier à l’âge de 91 ans. Elle est allée rejoindre le Seigneur.
Eveline will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rachel (René), Gisèle, Claude, Louise (Yvan), Monique (Gary), Céline, Donald (Melissa), Jacques (Lori) and Dolores (Brent). She also leaves behind her sister Gertrude (Laurent), her brother Camille (Denise) and her sister-in-law Rose Lagacé. Mom has 24 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She has gone to join those who left before her, her husband Oscar, her grandchildren Ashley, Nicole, Matthew, and Jaedra, her great-grandson Mavrick, her daughters-in-law, Sharon and Suzie, her son-in-law Dale Copping, her parents, Archie and Thérèse Schaubroeck, and her brothers and sisters and their spouses.
Mom was a woman of great faith and was always there for everyone, no matter what needed to be done, from helping Dad on the farm to helping with the grandchildren, and soup every Sunday after church. Mom volunteered at both her church and in her community. And as if this wasn’t enough, Mom was also a councillor for the town of La Salle from 1980 to 1986.
Mom you will be missed, we love you but know that you are in great company and watching over us from above.
The family would like to thank her Home Care workers, Anna and Ashley who took good care of Mom as well as the doctor and nurses on 6E and 6A at St. Boniface Hospital who were with her until the end. La famille voudrait aussi remercier Dr. Fontigny pour le support qu’elle a apporté à notre mère.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Eulogy will start at 1:00 p.m. followed by funeral mass and interment at the St. Hyacinthe Cemetery in La Salle.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Manitoba Harvest, Cancer Care or to a charity of your choice.
