It is with heavy hearts and immense love that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother and grandmother, Shirley Jeanette Matthes (née Smith), on September 26, 2025, at the age of 90.
We will miss her signature smile, her spirited sense of humour, and her unwavering support for all of us. Her love will remain with us always, a quiet strength that guides us forward. Rest peacefully, and thank you for everything. Until we meet again, we will hold you close in our hearts.
In keeping with her wishes, Shirley will be cremated and placed with her husband Clayton at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life for Shirley will take place on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
