KENNETH FRY
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kenneth (Ken) Fry on October 1, 2025.
Ken was born April 5, 1937 in Ashern, Manitoba and spent his early years on the farm near Darlingford.
He and Trudy were married September 12, 1959.
He was baptized in the Sparling United Church in 1979.
He lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba for all of his adult life where he was a mechanic and a truck driver prior to his retirement.
He was a CB radio enthusiast in his younger years and later, a HAM radio operator.
He enjoyed working on cars, mostly other people’s cars. He was expert at diagnosing and fine tuning distributors and carburetors. He also did many house wiring projects for friends and relatives.
He was predeceased by his father George, his mother Gertie, his stepmother Anne, his brother Elmer and sister-in-law Bernice.
He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Trudy (Gerbrandt) Fry, nieces and nephews including Bruce, Deborah, Kathy, Gertie, Hugh and Lori as well as nieces and nephews from the Gerbrandt family. He is also survived by special friends, Kevin and Susan.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave.
