Ruthy Gale, born on December 27, 1936, peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at The Simkin Centre, in Winnipeg, MB.
Ruthy is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Clara, her husband Hartley. She is survived by her four children, Sheldon, David, Susie (LaVern), and Lisa, as well as her grandchildren Melissa, Skyler (Jamie), Sarah, Harris (Karen), Avery (Beth), Josh, Spencer (Heath), Eli.
The family would like to thank Ruthy's devoted caregivers Sel and Imelda and everyone at both The Shaftesbury and The Simkin Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Jewish Foundation. May her memory be a blessing.

Both my husband, Ken Buckingham, and my aunt, Rhoda Ridley, had a long relationship with the Gale family through their respective ties with Winnipeg Photo. Both of them held Ruthy in the highest regard and admired her intelligence and commitment to family. From all I have heard from Ken and Rhoda over the years, she lived a full and vibrant life. I grew up a few doors away from the Gales. Theirs was one of the houses the kids on our block were always in and out of.
