It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Doreen, who peacefully left us on October 10, 2025, at the age of 67. Surrounded by love until her final breath, Doreen brought comfort, compassion, and joy to every life she touched. She was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Ashley (Cory) Catellier, Scott, and Kelsey; and her cherished grandchildren, Max, Katie, and Cash. Being their Baba was truly her greatest delight. She also leaves behind her brother, Michael (Aisha).
Doreen was predeceased by her parents, Irene (Tomiuk) and Melvin, and her brother, Daniel, whom she now joins in eternal rest.
Doreen's legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends - in every act of kindness she inspired, in the way she made others feel seen and valued, and in the love she shared so freely. She will be remembered for her gentle heart, quiet strength, and unwavering generosity.
A special thank-you to the nurses and healthcare aides at Riverview whose care and support meant so much to our family.
A Celebration of Doreen’s Life will be held on October 24, 2025, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 9, 920 Nairn Avenue, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please raise a beer and clam in her honour and do something kind for someone else, just as she always did.
