The family of Joan Lovelace are saddened to announce her passing on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the age of 85.
Joan is survived by her daughter Rachel (Gary); son Joseph (Rowan) and grandchildren Fallon, Mahela and Caroni. She is also survived by her brother Bill (Edna); sisters Natalie and Victoria, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her parents Alex and Polly; brothers Steven, Peter, Nick, Mike, Walter and Paul; sisters Olga and Anne and her children’s father John.
A funeral service will be held at Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1001 Grant Avenue, MB, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a reception in the church hall.

I never got the privilege to meet this lovely lady I tried this last summer when her niece Marianna came to Canada to celebrate my 63rd birthday It didn’t work out To short of notice Then when Aunty Natalie’s birthday came 93 on the 12th I suggested Aunty Joan should attend But it was to late God Bless her soul 🙏I watched the beautiful ceremony It was very touching I had no idea she had so much talent with her art and photos Wonderful tribute the kids put together for her I’m sure she’s very proud I’ll never forget when daughter Rachael brought Aunty Anna to my mothers funeral in Transcona back in May 2012 That meant the world to me and im forever grateful Annie I called her was my spiritual mom growing up as a kid Always there for me treated me as her very own Both my moms share the same passing date May 4th 😇 - Posted by: Enza Mazzei (Friend of her family) on: Oct 27, 2025
