Graham left us unexpectedly and too soon following a challenging few months of illness.
In addition to his many treasured friends, he leaves behind his sister Nancy Reynolds (Mike), nieces, Carolyn Sawatzky (Todd) and Tamara Fearnley-Whittingstall (Bill) and nephew Chris DeCock (Miranda), eight great-nieces and nephews, and a great-great-nephew and niece. Summers at the lake will never be the same without Great Uncle Graham!
Born in Winnipeg, Graham was educated in Winnipeg at St. Paul's High School and at the University of Manitoba. He started his career working in banking and as a stockbroker but shortly moved on to a truly fascinating career working in Ottawa on the political side of the federal government, serving on the National Parole Board and concluding his career working in communications for the Manitoba government.
While Winnipeg was his home for most of his life, his heart was always at the Lake of the Woods. In fact his first property purchased in his early twenties was on Echo Bay. He referred to his cottage as "the fabulous Gold Point Lodge".
He achieved his goal of retirement at 55 and happily spent the last 16 years living beside the lake in Kenora and wintering in Florida.
Always a car and boat guy, he also enjoyed music, art, interior design, detective novels and Masterpiece Theatre.
A proud and private man, he was a popular dinner guest, often described by friends as the highlight of the party.
The family sincerely thanks his loyal cadre of friends and wonderful neighbours who supported him over the past few months. Too many to mention, but you know who you are.
Service to take place on November 5, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Kenora, Ontario. The service will also be live streamed.
Donations can be made to the Winnipeg Foundation, Graham Gork Scholarship Fund.

I was very sorry to read about Graham. My prayers and sympathy to the family and especially to Nancy. Graham was someone i always hoped I would see at various meetings. He added a special tone, a positive intensity to the work we were doing. And after the serious work was done, it was always great to enjoy down time listening to his many stories. May Graham rest in eternal peace. amen. Leanne Boyd - Posted by: Leanne Boyd (Colleague friend) on: Nov 20, 2025

We met Graham as teenagers, occasionally meeting afterwards in passing ( always laugh filled conversations ) . Our cottage life near Kenora allowed for several delightful and cherished yearly visits each summer. His spirit and sense of humour will always be treasured. Good-bye old friend, you will be missed. - Posted by: jeff and rita doerr (old friends) on: Nov 04, 2025
