Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID CHARLES MACDONALD
David Charles MacDonald, age 68, died unexpectedly at home on October 28th after complications from a radioactive spider bite that led to years of crime-fighting and a long battle with a nefarious criminal named heart disease. A known plague on our society for far too long! One he survived for many years (until now anyway). Civilians will recognize him best as Spider-Man and thank him for his many years of service protecting our city.
His family and friends knew him only as “Dave”, gifted artist, writer, actor, and a caring mental health professional, PNA, for many years at St Boniface Hospital McEwan Building. He appeared in movies and assisted well-known writers and directors with his creative talents.
A good man with a searing wit, his passions included literature, film-making, comic book art, and distance running. He is an alumnus of the University of Manitoba.
Since his father George's death in 2019, he has been a perfect son to and is survived by his mother, Phyllis; his sister, Cynthia (Robert Singer); relatives in Winnipeg; Vancouver; Windsor; and in the U.K. There are too many friends to name, but all were important to him, as was his favourite, Rotterman, Zeus.
Join us for a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6th, at 603 Wellington Crescent and Academy Road. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Canadian Heart Failure Society so we can avenge this untimely death.
“Your amusing texts will be missed by all lucky enough to have received them”. Rest in Peace, my brother.
