AUDREY CAMPBELL

November 6, 1929 – October 31, 2025


Audrey Campbell (nee Sanderson) passed away days before her 96th birthday at her residence in Fairview Home. Left to cherish Audrey’s memory are her children Margaret Anne (Peter Rempel), Reg (Angel), Ken (Teresa), Bill and Jackie (Jack Reynolds). Also left to mourn are grandchildren Vicky (Alvin), Cody (Leanne), Jordan, Tyler, Lukas, Melinda, Layne (Suzie), Maverick (Anna) and great-grandchildren Andre, Angele, Danielle, Ezmay, Crozby, Blayke, Isabella, Potter, Austin, Dean and Max. Audrey is survived by her brother George (Donna), sister-in-law Darlene and numerous nieces and nephews. Audrey was predeceased by her husband Colin, grandson Tory, great-grandson Zander as well as her parents Hugh and Margaret, sister Royce (Bruce) and numerous in-laws.

Audrey was born November 6, 1929 in Minnedosa, MB the eldest of three children. She grew up in Binscarth. Audrey and Colin were married in Binscarth October 8, 1955. Audrey and Colin enjoyed building their first and last homes together, raising their five children, welcoming spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren into the family with much love and joy. Whether travelling, singing together, many years of dancing or watching their yard and fruit trees grow and flourish Audrey and Colin enjoyed their years together.

Audrey attended school in Binscarth, then completed Normal School (Teacher’s College) in Winnipeg. Upon graduation Audrey taught elementary grades in Isabella, Erickson and Shilo. She made lifelong friends during these years and met her future husband Colin. Audrey was happiest holding an infant or interacting with children.

Throughout Audrey’s youth and adult life, she loved to holiday at Clear lake. She had many happy memories of rental cabins and then the family cottage in the park. The cottage was the focus for family gatherings, water activities and games night.

Audrey was an active member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary to the United Commercial Travelers holding positions of Senior and Grand Counsellor. For many years in collaboration with Colin she organized the UCT feeding of participants in the Brandon Travelers Day Parade.

Audrey was employed at Fantasy Creations and Eaton’s catalogue department. She was both an employee and a volunteer at the Heart and Stroke Foundation

Audrey’s long history volunteering with the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Heart and Stroke Foundation led to her receiving the Brandon Mayor’s Volunteer Service of the Year Award for health in 1992.

As a founding member of Trinity United Church, Audrey was actively involved in the life of the church including the choir. Audrey’s voice was renowned in her circle of family and friends. She shared her talent with others as a soloist in church, as a member of a quartet and for weddings and funerals.

Audrey was very caring; everyone was welcome in her home. She developed and fed lifelong friendships in all of her family, volunteering and work relationships. Audrey was interested in everyone she met.

Audrey moved into an apartment in 2013. She cherished her independence and was an active participant in the many opportunities within the complex.

Audrey lived 9 years at Fairview Home where she loved to participate in the varied activities and to interact with other residents and staff. The pandemic saw her embrace technology to enjoy family visits. Our family appreciates the support and caring Audrey received during her time at Fairview.

Audrey focused on family and embodied a positive view of life. One of her guiding principles was “It will all work out in the wash”. She shared her positivity and love for others with her family and we cherish her legacy.

Interment will occur at Rosewood Memorial Garden 11 am Saturday November 29, 2025 Family and close friends welcome.

The service to celebrate Audrey will be held Saturday November 29, 2025 at 1:30 p.m., at Trinity United Church with Mike Waddell presiding.

Audrey Campbell passed away peacefully Friday October 31, 2025. Audrey is survived by her loving family including children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Interment will take place at Rosewood Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday November 29,2025. Family and close friends are welcome.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 on Saturday November 29, 2025, at Trinity United Church. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends may donate in Audrey’s name to the Canadian Diabetes Association, B-727 10th Street Brandon, Manitoba R7A 4G7 or Trinity United Church Memorial Fund 1515 6th Street Brandon, Manitoba R7A 6B3.
