ALEXANDER (ALEX) ROWES

October 12, 1941 - May 11, 2025

It is with profound sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Alex on Sunday May 11, 2025. We, along with everyone else who knew him, will deeply miss him.

He had many interests and was involved in many organizations in past years. Alex helped so many in times of need and enjoyed life to the fullest.

He had two companions in his lifetime whom he loved deeply. They shared his life's journey with much love and great affection.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Nellie Rowes, first wife Carol (Smith) Rowes, in-laws Mr. and Mrs. R. Smith, sisters-in-law Linda Shaw and Beverly McBride.

He is survived by his wife Michelle (Brown) Rowes and her children; James, Jason, Jeff and Erin Brown. His siblings; Anna Mae (Ed) Hertes and family, Ken Rowes and family, Debra (Harold) Atkinson and family, brothers-in-law Steve Shaw and Glen McBride and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Burial took place on Monday May 19, 2025, at St. Jude's Church Cemetery in Grand Marais, MB, where family and close friends gathered.

A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in 2026. A further notice will follow at time.

Burial by Sobering Funeral Chapel and Cremation, Beausejour, MB.

His smiling way and pleasant face

Are a pleasure to recall,

He had a kindly word for each

And died beloved by all.

Some day we hope to meet him,

Some day we know not when,

To clasp his hand in the better land

Never to part again.
