Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWERNER SCHEURER
Werner, after an extended hospital stay, left us peacefully in his sleep on Monday, November 3, 2025, just shy of his 85th Birthday.
He is survived by his loving wife Annerose, his sons, Edgar, Uli (Shannon), Bernd (Lisa), Andreas (Robyn) and daughter Beate; his brother Hans and sister Ilse and grandchildren, Ayla, Ryan, Anika, Max, Christian, Annalee and Zachary; as well as his many great-grandchildren, Mason, Ahri, James, Olivia, Liam and Sebastian.
Werner was born on December 1, 1940 to Otto and Luise Scheurer in Bezgenriet Germany. He grew up on the family farm plowing and working the fields until he married the love of his life Annerose on February 23, 1963. Together they bought a farm in Edenbachen, where they prospered and raised their family. They made many friends over the next 17 years there, respected by all in the community, until they made the decision to move to Canada.
45 years in Canada, another child and much growth on the family farm, and many wonderful friendships were built. Werner was much respected and loved by those that knew and worked with him. He built his dream cabin and enjoyed time there with family and friends. He learned to slow down and enjoy the winters there in Canada and many southern destinations with Annerose and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff and medical team at Beausejour Hospital that made his remaining time with us easier and more comfortable.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
