PATRICK DALY

Patrick Daly, 91, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. Born on March 16, 1934, in Bundoran, Ireland, Patrick carried his Irish spirit and warmth throughout his life.

Patrick cared deeply about helping others. Patrick studied and graduated as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) and Psychiatric Nurse in the United Kingdom. After immigrating to Canada in 1966, Patrick worked as a nurse at the Selkirk Hospital, and later as an Enforcement Officer with the Manitoba Human Rights Commission, where his compassion and commitment to fairness helped bring about meaningful change.

Patrick's love for Grand Beach was apparent to all who knew him. Our cottage - a place filled with laughter, and the joy of watching his children, then grandchildren, play and grow up.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; and their three children Amanda (Randall), Karen (Victor) and Christopher (Natalie). Patrick and Patricia met in the summer of 1958, and married in Brighton, England, in 1966. He will be deeply missed by his five grandchildren Liam (Emily), Keenan (Ava), Roan, Avery and Kiera - who all knew him as "Papa".

Patrick lived a full and wonderful life. Patrick's memory will live on through Irish Coffees during the holidays, walks along Grand Beach in the summer, and a spoonful of honey in a hot cup of tea.

He was deeply loved - as a husband, father, grandfather and friend - and his kindness, wit, and gentle spirit will be profoundly missed.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their exceptional care, compassion and support during Patrick's time there. Your kindness and professionalism will always be remembered.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Irish Club, 654 Erin Street, starting at 1:00 p.m. Please wear something green. Crocs are welcome!
