It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Darius “Dee” Hartshorne at just 17 years old, surrounded by his loving family. Dee courageously fought to recover from a severe spinal injury before passing peacefully on October 30, 2025.
A beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, teammate, and friend, Dee’s bright spirit touched everyone who knew him. A proud member and captain of the Sisler Spartans football team, he led with heart, dedication, and love for the game. Dee also cherished time with family, especially camping trips filled with fishing, kayaking, and laughter.
Forever loved and deeply missed, Dee’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Peter’s Church - Petrus Hall (2624 Inkster Blvd.) Friday, November 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a reception for guests and private interment for immediate family.
