It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Harold (Hal) Mauthe on November 1, 2025, at the age of 95.
Harold was predeceased by his loving wife, Anne Catherine Mauthe in 2017.
He will be loving remembered by his two step-sons Rick Match (Susan) and Randall Match (Claudette), his grandchildren, Naomi (Nik), Nick (Cheri), Christophe (Cassidy), Dominique (Joyce) and Jean-Paul and great-grandchildren Henry, Tilly and Oliver.
In his early years at Issac Newton School he began a lengthy career in sports and was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame on numerous occasions for his contributions to basketball and football as a coach, player and as a referee including the Pan Am Games in 1967. He also played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1951-1952.
Harold was the Controller for Paulin Chambers Ltd from a young age to retirement.
Harold and Anne spent many years together, traveling extensively, wintering in Texas and spending summer days at the lake with family.
Harold will be missed but not forgotten.
