Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES D. (CHUCK) HENRY
With deep love and respect, we announce the passing of Charles D. (Chuck) Henry, just shy of his 87th birthday. A proud East St. Paul resident, community servant, tradesman, and longtime firefighter with the RM, Chuck’s work ethic, humour, and generosity left an imprint across Winnipeg and beyond.
A skilled tradesman for over 70 years, he saw the world of tools and building evolve and circle back again something he often noted with a smile and a knack for keeping things that might one day be useful. A lifelong learner, he was known for his sharp mind, strong opinions, and deep love of history and politics. He served in the Navy at just 17, travelled widely, and read thousands of books over his lifetime.
Chuck loved nature, trees, animals, his community, country music, and, of course, hockey. Though recognized with awards, his greatest honours were the friendships and goodwill he built along the way.
A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rowandale Church, 162 Rowandale Avenue, Winnipeg. A livestream will be available on the church website.
